When traveling with us, you’re the leader! We’re going to plan together as a team, but you’ll always have the last say. You’ll also be in the best hands, we’re locals who love to travel their own country, but we have the experience of traveling all over the world too. You can tell we know what we want when experiencing new adventures!

Let’s fasten your seatbelts and prepare to land in the nation of gauchos, tango, football, and wine.

Buenos Aires

The capital city of Argentina has become one of the largest metropolis in the world, no wonder it has always competed with Paris! Europe and South America mixed in this vibrant city that never sleeps (yes, New York, you’re not the only one).

When planning your trip together, Buenos Aires can’t be avoided. We’re going to land here and explore the history of the country.

Food will play a central role in this part of your trip. Argentina was formed not only by the aboriginal population but also by big immigration waves coming from all across Europe: Italy, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Germany, you name it! That’s why food is such an intricate piece of Argentina’s culture. Pizza? Not the same in any other country; Pasta? unique in its own way; Asado? For sure not the same as an American barbeque. For that reason, we have some amazing activities to recommend, all involving food, of course!

Let’s enjoy an exclusive dinner with one of the best tango shows in Buenos Aires in one of the best hotels too, set in the luxurious Puerto Madero neighborhood. You’re going to have a three-course dinner at El Mercado. Remember I said above that Argentina is the perfect mix between South America and Europe? Well, this restaurant blends the energy of Buenos Aires’ traditional cantinas with the charm of Europe’s markets, featuring the best of Argentinian cuisine.

Now that you’ve tried the food, why not learn to cook it? This masterclass experience in Argentinian cuisine and food culture will give you more than just memories for when you’re back home! You’ll be able to replicate the dishes you loved the most during your time in Buenos Aires. Empanadas, chipa (cheese bread), and flan with dulce de leche are among the recipes you’ll master by the end of the session. Did I mention that this experience is in the Palermo neighborhood? One of the coolest neighborhoods in the city. To put it simply, you can easily tell it resembles Williamsburg. If this doesn’t sound exciting enough, wine will accompany every dish you cook!

Salta, Jujuy, and Northern Region

Some of you will likely experience what you imagine Argentina to be like when you step foot in our Northern region. It is for sure a special place, not only for its magical landscapes (multicolored mountains and gleaming salt flats) but also for its time-honored traditions and mystical culture. Salta, founded in 1582, is the starting point to explore northern Argentina. And that’s the point from where the recommended activities start. This city is known as “La Linda” (“The Pretty”). Staying in this strategic point, you can day travel to the stunning Calchaquíes Valley and the city of Cafayate, the hometown of Torrontés wine.

While you’re visiting this part of Argentina, this full-day experience called “Safari to the Clouds” is going to create unforgettable memories. You’re going to wander around some of the most magical places in this part of the country: Discover Route 40 and its amazing stops along the way. Amaze yourself as you look at the “Mount of the Seven Colors” and, don’t even worry about food, It includes meals!

And before continuing to the next destination, why not enjoy a private wine tour among the Calchaquí Valley and Cafayate? This incredible experience will make you indulge your senses in the heart of Argentina’s renowned wine county, a fantastic start before heading towards Mendoza (also renowned for its wine quality)!

Mendoza

Mendoza is known as “The land of the sun and wine” and they’re not wrong! A city overlooking The Andes, surrounded by the best wineries in the world, no wonder it’s a compulsory stop in your visit to Argentina. This destination is the perfect opportunity to mix both Argentinian cuisine and a bit of outdoor adventure. Let’s dive in!

First, food. We need energy to venture into the outdoors! For Mendoza, we recommend a one-of-a-kind experience. In Buenos Aires, you cooked empanadas and probably learned that they’re a great starter for the Asado, our traditional barbeque. Now, it’s time for you to learn how to make an Asado (yes, you “make” it and don’t just “cook” it), its history, and the tradition around it. This private Argentine barbecue experience with winery visits will live a unique Mendocino day in which they will visit excellent wineries, taste their wines, and then enter the World of Barbecue. If words like “chimi” and “chori” are still out of your vocabulary, prepare for a bonus class on Argentinian slang too!

Now, let’s go outdoors! Like outdoors, outdoors, you’re going horseback riding in The Andes! This incredible experience combines horseback riding in the mountains and ends with a night Asado in a gaucho estate. Also, if you’ve made it until this part of the trip and still haven’t tried mate (our traditional infusion), this is your chance. The family who owns the estate will share some “mates” with people as they all gather and wait for the adventure to start. The ride takes you to unexplored paths between hills and plains adorned with the imposing framework of the pre-Cordillera with the possibility of seeing wild animals such as guanaco, condor, fox, and hares. You will go up to a viewpoint located at 2000 meters high giving a view of the unique landscape of the city and its mountains. Overall, an unforgettable experience.

These are some of the exclusive activities we recommend. They’re part of the off-beaten adventures one can enjoy without having to follow the typical list of 10 “must-do” crowded activities. We believe in traveling at our own pace, choosing the best experiences because we know the “must-dos” are usually totally overrated and don’t capture the real culture of the place we’re visiting.
