day 1 – El Calafate
After arriving at EOLO on our private transfer, you’ll have some time to relax and unwind. Then, our proposal for the day is a trekking activity organized by the hotel where you’ll get the chance to recognize the flora and fauna of the surroundings. You’ll also have the choice to ride the bicycles at the hotel to enjoy the nature around you or opt for a horseback riding experience too. This day is yours to enjoy! Remember, you have all meals included during your stay here.

Day 2 – El Calafate
Good morning! Be sure to get the fuel needed for a full day outdoors while choosing what to have for breakfast today! You’ll go to the Perito Moreno glacier. Here, we chose to give you two options so you can choose based on your preferences. Both experiences include the visit to the walkways.
1. Minitrekking: a short navigation in front of the glacier and a trekking with crampons accompanied by mountain guides. The ice trek lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes. It’s a unique and unforgettable experience. (From 8 to 65 years old).
2. Big Ice: it starts at the same point as the Minitrekking, with the difference that you practically reach the center of the glacier. The trekking includes two hours of walking through the Andean forest and 3 hours on the glacier. Ideal for adventurous people. (From 18 to 50 years old).
Day 3 – Puerto Natales
Remember, you have all meals included during your stay here.
Day 4 – Puerto Natales
Discovering Torres del Paine National Park
Torres del Paine is considered the world´s 8th natural wonder. You will stop at several privileged viewpoints of the park to see the iconic granite peaks and colorful lakes such as Nordenskjöld, Sarmiento, Pehoé, and Paine Cascade. While trekking, you will discover some of the fauna and flora of the area and we will learn more about the park’s water and rock prehistorical formations. The experience includes lunch and snacks.
Day 5 – Puerto Natales
Navigation to the fjords and glaciers
You’ll depart from The Singular’s dock to the Balmaceda and Serrano glaciers. During an hour and a half of navigation time between the fjords, you may observe colonies of sea lions and other animal species. After arriving, you’ll disembark at the Bernardo O’Higgins National Park. After a short hike, you’ll reach the closest viewpoint of the glacier, allowing the time and the opportunity to take photos and learn more about glacier formation. Once you return to the vessel, you’ll slowly navigate to the front of the Balmaceda glacier and admire its natural beauty. You’ll continue navigating to a working Estancia, and enjoy a typical Patagonian lunch and horseback ride or trek within Estancia’s land. When you return to the hotel, you’ll have the rest of the afternoon to relax as you prepare to board the Australis Cruise the following morning.
Day 6 – Australis
Australis – Check In Day
Between 13:00 and 17:00 hrs, you’ll check-in at Muelle Prat (EPA) to embark at 18:00 hrs (arriving on our included private transfer from Punta Arenas). Once onboard, you’ll be part of a welcome toast and introduced to the Captain and his crew. The ship will sail to the far south immediately after. Through the mythical Strait of Magellan and the Beagle Channel, you’ll travel through Patagonia and the fjords of Tierra del Fuego.

Day 7 – Australis
Ainsworth Bay – Tuckers Islets
You’ll arrive in the vicinity of the Marinelli Glacier in Ainsworth Bay where you’ll learn how life resurfaces after the ice has melted. You’ll then hike through the wonderful sub-Antarctic Magellanic forest. You’ll also visit the Tuckers Islets, where you’ll see Magellanic penguins and cormorants from the Zodiacs.
***In September and April, this excursion is replaced by a hike near a glacier in Brookes Bay.
Day 8 – Australis
Pia Glacier – Glacier Alley
You’ll sail along the northwest arm of the Beagle Channel to enter and disembark in the Pia Fjord. You’ll sail to the viewpoint from where you can see the homonymous glacier, whose main peak extends from the top of the mountain range to the sea. After this unforgettable experience, you’ll continue the navigation under the majestic gaze of “Glacier Alley”.
Day 9 – Australis
Cape Horn – Wulaia Bay
You’ll arrive at the Cape Horn National Park, where you’ll disembark, if the weather conditions are suitable, to experience the magic of walking through one of the southernmost points of the world. In the afternoon, you’ll disembark at Wulaia Bay, a historic site of one of the largest settlements of the native Yagans canoeists. You’ll reach a viewpoint, walking through the Magellanic forest in which lengas, coigües, canelos and ferns grow, among other species.
Day 10 – Ushuaia
Disembark at around 8:30 AM the Australis Cruise at Ushuaia’s port to start your adventure through our last stop. This will be a chill day after 4 days of adventures sailing the sea. Arrive on our private transfer, check in at your hotel, and prepare for a one-hour horseback riding experience at 3pm. Then you’ll have the whole day to relax in the in-and-out heated pool and spa at the hotel.
Day 11 – Ushuaia
***As the second day in the southernmost city in the world starts, you’ll prepare to face the outdoors again with a trek to Laguna Esmeralda. Once you reach the lagoon, you’ll enjoy a lunch box with a hot beverage (included) with the most amazing views out there. This experience is available all year round and you’ll be back at the hotel by 4:00 PM to enjoy the rest of the day.
Day 12 – Ushuaia
***This day calls for adventure! At 9:00 AM you’ll be picked up from the hotel for a true expedition. Experts in off-road driving offer you an authentic 4×4 journey. On board, you will cross the forest and rivers along impossible mud roads, between disused roads, on the edge of the famous Lake Fagnano or Khami with unique views. Garibaldi Pass through The Andes, the Hidden Lake, and Lake Fagnano are just some of the highlights. Lunch is included in a beautiful refuge, where you’ll enjoy the famous Argentine meat roasted in the forest along with good Argentine wine.
Day 13 – End of Trip
Prepare to check out of your accommodation and head to the airport on your private transfer as we say our last farewell and wish you the best flight back home! We hope to see you again soon!
*** The proposed excursions and tours are available year-round and can be replaced by:
*A walk with penguins (from November till March): Full-day experience where you’ll take a motor boat to Martillo Island. From the boat, you can see penguins in their breeding site. The motorboat ride then continues to the main attraction of the day: the enormous Gable Island, where lunch awaits us (not included). Then, the walk begins to explore this wonderful island. Along the way you will find remains left behind by the Yámana civilization and the first settlers.
*Vinciguerra Glacier Trekking (from November till April): Full-day experience starting at the Andorra Valley. The walk begins bordering a melting river, from where you can observe the characteristic peat bogs. Once in the forest, the ascent is constant, and once you have overcome the limit of the vegetation, you will reach the foot of this imposing glacier and its melting lagoon, the ideal setting to enjoy a delicious box lunch with a hot drink (included).

The lodge affords beautiful views across Lago Argentino and on a clear day, as far as Chile’s famous Torres del Paine. Based on the style of a traditional Patagonian estancia with a modern twist, the Eolo’s 17 rooms are comfortable and stylish, whilst its communal living areas are ideal places to enjoy the organized discussions about the local flora and fauna or just to curl up with a book and relax. The lodge has an excellent restaurant and bar with stunning views across the valley and also boasts a small indoor pool.
*Full board: breakfast, lunch, tea, and dinner.

The food was exceptional, with every meal crafted to perfection. Each bite was a culinary delight, adding to the overall experience. The staff, especially those who served the meals, was great!
Eolo is truly a gem. If you're looking for an unforgettable escape, especially for a special occasion, this is the place to go. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect start to our married life. Thank you for making our honeymoon a dream come true!
They are also not punctual with schedules.
Considering remote location, number of people working and quality of food the price is well deserved.
The amenities at Eolo provide everything you could wish for. Whether it was lounging in the main living room sharing mate or enjoying the serene outdoor spaces, every aspect of the property was designed for relaxation and enjoyment.
Dining at Eolo was a remarkable experience. The service was unmatched, with each meal crafted to perfection and accompanied by an impressive selection of wines. A standout moment of our stay was the wine tasting led by Rafael, whose expertise and passion made it an unforgettable experience. He took us on a journey through flavors, enhancing our appreciation for the local wines and providing insights that truly elevated our dining experience.
Overall, our time at Eolo Hotel was a life-changing experience. The combination of stunning views, luxurious amenities, and exceptional service made this stay one we will cherish forever. I cannot recommend Eolo enough—it’s a true gem in the heart of Patagonia!
Felt a complete sense of serenity the moment I stepped in.
I can’t really put into words - I just felt that every moment, I was fully pulled back to present.
The warmth of the entire team… including the beautiful horses… they have this energy. An energy which I miss dearly.

A restaurant with a breathtaking view!
Loved everything about it—the view, the beautiful interiors, the delicious food, and our simply lovely hostess, Carolina. Will surely come back!
Everything was EXCELLENT from check in, staff, room and food 👌🏼
✅ Warm welcome, staff were all super friendly, enthusiastic and genuinely love to help!
✅ Room was so comfortable, spacious, clean. I stayed 4 nights in the king room and had to move to their suite for 2 nights. Both room type have all the amenities I needed. The suite minibar included champagne and spirits? which are not replenished daily. Both rooms have still/sparkling water and soft drinks and replenished daily.
✅ Not only are the rooms great but the food was incredible too. I booked with full board so breakfast, lunch and dinner were all included. Breakfast was great, freshly toasted bread basket, eggs on order, good spread of fruits, most importantly coffee was great. Lunch and dinner were a la carte menu and I could order anything. Tried quite a few of the dishes. My favourite was the Calbuco abalone carpaccio on potato slice, avocado cream, tomato and mayonnaise for the starter. Deep sea cod, Atlantic prawns, caramelised carrot purée and lemongrass beurre blanc for the main. Service was good.
✅ The spa was quite minimal. Only sauna on offer and the pool was small and little dirty. I didn’t use the spa but had a 60 mins deep tissue massage. The treatment room overlooks the sea, beautiful and calming. Therapist was pretty good.
✅ There were quite a few activities on offers. I thoroughly enjoyed all the tours I’ve been on. Half day hike to “Condor Lookout”, both full day “Navigation” and “Eastern Active Exploration” tours. I was pleasantly surprised by the Navigation tour which involves ferry ride to see Serrano glaciers and from the ferry other glaciers, few seals, a colony of Magellanic Cormorant (looks like penguin), fjords, beautiful waterfalls, rock formations. Everything is so majestic and stunning! Eastern Active Exploration in Torres del Paine is a must to see all the magnificent and surreal mountains.
Highly recommend this place for your Patagonia visit especially if you’re looking for a more relaxed place, more chill activities and wonderful accommodation to rest in between.
-It's cold and windy everywhere
-very poor internet
-dirty
-no gym
-In swimming pool use some chemicals, that cause skin irritation
-really overpriced excursions
-breakfast is poor
I don't recommend this hotel at all :(((
The place is beautiful and the food was delicious. Only the dessert we found was not up to par but everything else was exquisite.
The good:
* Beautifu large rooms facing the sound
* Very comfortable beds
* Large well appointed bathroom
* Very good main restaurant (the other restaurant El Asador only opens for groups)
* Beautiful grounds
* Delicious lunch packs can be ordered for take away on outings
* Good location for tour to glaciers from Wharf nearby
The bad:
* Service at check in and check out was unusual
* We were told we could take a box of breakfast goodies for take away to our tour but no such thing existed according to breakfast staff
* A long walk from town
* No gym. Unusual for a hotel charging these prices and with this amount of space.
* Too expensive. At this price I expect perfection which it wasn't able to offer.
Conclusion
I loved the rooms and the view at the hotel however I probably wouldn't stay here again. There is a lovely 3 star hotel with the same view down the road which would be more than satisfactory especially if you are spending most of your time out of the room.
Had a pleasant check out experience.
Due to a massive flight delays and re route with many hours drive etc… I arrived at 4 am in the morning. Only could sleep for three hours and spent less than 12 hours there although a fully inclusive package was paid for.
Had the tour around the hotel which finished at 12:15. Knowing that check out was at noon I made a point to go to the reception to let them know that I would be slightly late.
They called me when I was back in the room - with a seemingly “accusatory and not courteous tone” that demanded that I leave the room immediately. When I went to the reception, they said “we don’t care what happened or when you arrived, check out is at noon….”
Sorry… not acceptable as a five star establishment when you can’t find a more “hospitable” way to say the same thing. Especially not for the price I paid.

Your Accommodation
Arakur Resort and Spa | Ushuaia
Set high up on a mountain overlooking the Beagle Channel, you’ll experience luxury at Arakur Resort and Spa in Ushuaia, Argentina. Nestled in the stunning Tierra del Fuego and in its own natural reserve, this modern retreat offers upscale amenities and breathtaking views. The in-and-out heated swimming pool and the spa make it the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. There’s no better way of finishing your trip of a lifetime.

I've never had more pristine conditions nor views at a hotel before.
Their Piano Bar serves a great selection and cooked well. They also have a fancier restaurant and a great breakfast included if you opt for that. It's buffet style but you can also order a la carte.
I truly can't say enough good things about this place.
Includes horseback riding + 2-step lunch + spa in the outdoor pool overlooking the bay and the valley.
Everything is incredible!
It's worth every peso.
The buffet was $60 per person and included a crazy good variety of things, including desserts. The view was beautiful for the sunset.
Days before we had rented snow clothing that they left exclusively at the hotel and they told us that was not the case, so they had not received anything. We contacted the clothing company who had to call the hotel and only there were they able to find it.
In that sense we were left with a bitter taste about the staff's attention.
Regarding the hotel and what it offers we cannot complain! 10/10 everything, spa rooms, breakfast, food.
Special mention:
STAFF: High level, 0 errors, excellence in treatment and work. When they say "let's solve your concern," they solve it.
BAR AND RESTAURANT: Grillers, pastry chefs, chef, etc. the same, excellent.
ROOMS AND COMMON AREAS: Spa, bar, restaurant, etc. are of a high standard. Rare high technology. Very high food level.
They offer the most varied range of activities during the day.
Storage of equipment, "all inclusive" service (you could say) for the ski day (transfers, equipment, etc., which I did not use due to lack of knowledge).
Trekking with different trails,
360 Viewpoint. Depending on the time of year, the options are different.
Transfer service every hour, hour and a half from very early until late that connects with the city center. (No ski equipment and no cost).
It's not just an overnight stay, it's a whole experience. It is part of "LEADING HOTELS OF THE WORLD" (only 5 or 6 hotels in Argentina belong).
All excellent, super recommended
First-class service, the in-out pool is the best thing when you return from the hill to relax.
The lobby bar with live music is without a doubt the best way to end the day and what stands out is Agustina's attention, which was excellent!
The employee service is TERRIBLE
They are not up to par
The good rooms
There's not much more to say, unfortunately, for what they charge
The rest of the hotel deserves neither good nor bad comments. Much to improve!!!!
It is our second year at the hotel, first of all I want to clarify that last year was a 10 and that is why we returned.
Of course the view is beautiful, and the hotel itself is also very nice, but I don't know if it is worthy of a 5-star rating (or it would be a 5-star Argentine style 😬) since it is far from being that way. For example, this year the pool area has a very unpleasant smell (like fish 🤢), the edges have fungus (which I kept asking my daughter not to touch) and the edge of the glass that separates the outdoor pool from The interior is all rusty, dirty and with 0 maintenance.
Those who come to ski (as was our case) keep in mind that the access road to the hotel is not always well maintained, so the buses that take you to the hill in the early hours will not be able to get off, which means that You arrive at the base around 11 in the morning (missing the classes you have taken early and entry to your little ones' school).
On the other hand, make sure that they give you the room you requested, we asked for a sea view and they gave us a partial view, which obviously the next day they changed it for us, but to do so they opened the safe and moved our belongings without authorization (we They had told us to go skiing and upon our return we would change everything) 🤨
Well, in order not to bore you so much, I think that those who want to spend their holidays without these unpleasant things that are far from being first class, can opt for other 5-star hotel options until the Arakur recovers from the 10-year celebrations. 😉
The service is amazing, they set up all our tours at very good price. I will definitely come back.
There are games like Ping Pong, Foosball, Pool, Toad, etc. horseback riding and walks.
The location is nice because it is on the mountain and allows you to see the entire city. As you go up the landscape seems like a story! 😍❄️🤍100% recommended.
The views from the rooms are right down over the town and the mountains in Chile. The spa is fantastic, including an indoor swimming pool and outdoor thermal pools with views down over the town. It has a small sauna you can book too.
Breakfast was excellent. Really good choice from the buffet, plus you could order eggs etc how you wanted them. I also had lunch here which was the same high quality. The bar also has a good selection of wines.
The rooms are really comfortable, with lovely beds. The service is excellent. The only issue is the checkout time, which is 10am. Most hotels its 11 or 12. However they will hold your bags. They also have a small bus down to the town and back at least once an hour, which is free.
To top it off there are some lovely walks behind the hotel, which are fully mapped out, including a viewpoint that is worth a visit. If you are not in to walking, there is a viewing room on top of the hotel with amazing views, the stairs are at the spa end of the hotel on the 4th floor.
If you are visiting Ushuaia, this is the place to stay.
