Day 1 – Iguazu | Misiones

Welcome to Awasi Iguazu! After arriving in a private transfer to this incredible lodge, we have a special activity planned for you that will introduce everyone in the group to the rich fauna of the area you’ll be calling home for the next four days. We’ll visit Güira Oga, a rehabilitation center dedicated to the care and protection of native wildlife. This visit offers a wonderful opportunity to learn about the local conservation efforts and support the dedicated professionals working tirelessly to preserve and reintroduce threatened species to their natural habitats. It’s a meaningful way to start your adventure while making a positive impact on the environment!

Day 2 – Iguazu National Park | Circuits and Macuco Path

The Iguazu National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, takes center stage in today’s adventure! Get ready to admire hundreds of waterfalls from every possible angle. You’ll walk right up to the stunning San Martín, Bossetti, and Dos Hermanas waterfalls, all set within lush vegetation teeming with birds, butterflies, and coatis. To make the day even more exciting, we’ve planned a hike that will immerse you deeper into the wildlife of the area. You’ll explore one of the least visited circuits of the park, offering a true glimpse into the wilder side of Iguazu. This 7km walk through the Atlantic forest leads you to the enchanting Salto Arrechea, a smaller waterfall of 20 meters, where a natural pool awaits at its base. It’s the perfect way to experience the untouched beauty of this remarkable park at your own pace. Psst! Don’t forget to pack your sunscreen!

Day 3 – Misiones | Alto Paraná River & Yasy Fall

Journey along the second largest river in South America to the magical meeting point of the jungle and the Urugua-í Creek, where you’ll find some of the most unusual geological formations. With semi-precious stones embedded in the rocks, this area is believed by archaeologists to have been home to pre-Guaraní civilizations, thanks to its abundant food and shelter. You’ll explore the serene waters of the Urugua-í Creek by boat or kayak, taking in the lush Surroundings and rich history. Your adventure will culminate with a refreshing swim in the waters beneath the hidden Yasí Waterfall. It’s a perfect blend of natural beauty, history, and tranquility!

Day 4 – Misiones | Mbya Guarani Community

You’ll get to see the local culture with an excursion that delves into the life, customs, and traditions of the Guaraní people, the original inhabitants and guardians of the Iguazú Falls. This unique experience, guided by locals, offers a fascinating glimpse into their way of life. You’ll learn about the traditional hunting traps they used to catch food, discover the medicinal plants they rely on, and see the artisan crafts they create from jungle materials. It’s a rich cultural journey that highlights the incredible heritage and knowledge of the Guaraní people.

Special note: on certain occasions, members of the Guarani community come to the lodge to do basketry or craft workshops with guests, please inquire at the Front Desk of Awasi Iguazu.

Our boat tour sets off from Colonia Carlos Pellegrini, just 40 km from your accommodation. This town holds a rich historical legacy as a key player in the creation of the Iberá Reserve.

Day 7 – Iberá Wetlands | Corrientes

As the third day begins, enjoy a tasty breakfast to fuel up for the day ahead! Rincón del Socorro features gravel paths and short grass trails that are perfect for biking. You can even follow these paths to reach the edge of the wetlands. How many wildlife species can you spot? We challenge you to name some of the animals you see! After lunch, we invite you to experience the surroundings from a different perspective with a horseback ride. It’s a fantastic way to take in the beauty of the area from above!

Day 12 – The Valdes Peninsula | Chubut

On the morning of the following day, all is ready to enjoy the last full day to the fullest! Remember that the Estancia is one of the most iconic properties of Valdés, for this reason, we manage the place through our foundation, Conservación Península Valdés (CPV), a non-profit organization specializing in steppe and wildlife conservation projects. Having guides who’ve been involved in research and conservation projects for more than twenty years makes you feel you are a part of the effort to keep this vast place and its wildlife safe. Not a whole lot to say about this place besides that it's perfection (not that I'd expect anything less from an Awasi property). From the staff to the personalization to the food and drink to the accommodation, they made us feel like the king and queen of the world. Having our own private guide for the duration of our stay was worth the cost of the stay on its own, and Guille immediately became family to us. The Michelin-quality food, not to mention them being completely and always aware of food allergies/sensitivities/preferences, made meal time something to look forward to every day. Honestly not much more that I can say - if you are wondering about anything, just assume it's whatever your best-case scenario would be!With our 3 days, we did 3 very different and very incredible excursions. The first was a trip on the Parana river to a secluded waterfall that we could swim in. It was a special way to start, and when we got back to the boat after the swim, they had a lovely charcuterie tray waiting for us to snack on!The second day, we did a rainforest kayak and nature walk within a private reserve that Awasi had sole access to. We saw amazing animals like monkeys and snakes, and learned about the biodiversity and geology of the area from our guide. We also had an incredible picnic bbq lunch (they cooked perfect fish for my wife who doesn't eat red meat). The last day was devoted to Iguazu, spending the morning on the Argentinian side and the afternoon observing from the Brazilian side. Both were incredible, and we'd definitely recommend doing both sides if you have the time.Overall, I'll just say that there are few experiences on earth better than staying at an Awasi property.

My experiences with Awasi have cemented them as the best luxury hotel chain in South America. They provide far more personalisation of service, to the point where once you experience them, you’ll see that competitors like Explora and Tierra are not even true luxury at all.Like in their Atacama property, the food here is excellent, capable of standing its own against city restaurants back home. The one time where steak was accidentally overdone, there was an immediate offer to recook it, even though I had only mentioned it in passing, rather than as a complaint. The architecture manages to both be sophisticated yet homey. Many luxury hotels insist on architecture that feels overdone, and as a result, sterile or intimidating (like a modern art piece). Here. It’s just nice touches that place you further in the environment. The negative “garden” space dug out between the front desk and the dining area, and the lovely verandah behind the interior restaurant area where one can sit and watch butterflies go by, are examples of this.Maintenance is also top notch. I’ve been to many places in where the in-villa plunge pool went unused, due to it being gross and full of leaves / bugs. The one here is pristine, and an even greater achievement due to it being in the tropics, where leaves fall incessantly. But mostly, this place is made by the service. Our preferences for drinks at every meal were instantly remembered. A complimentary doctor was called when my partner was sick, and after half a day of rest, our guide recommended a relaxing sit in a hummingbird garden nearby. Staff made herbal tea at dinner. It was clear that everything came from a place of care-first, which is all too uncommon these days.I will definitely return, perhaps to their property in Patagonia for a change :).

Cannot recommend enough! A beautiful and secluded location with exceptional service. We were there for 5 nights. The villas are just gorgeous and I loved the privacy of them. The property is very tranquil. We loved sitting on our patio every day watching the birds fly by. Staff was so caring and great! They went above and beyond to fulfill all of your requests. The food and drinks were top notch and the All inclusive is definitely worth it. I can see the rave about the food - definitely 5 stars! The portions were small-ish, which was actually a good thing as it allowed us to savour several dishes at every meal. Besides their current selection, the chef was happy to make anything we requested. We were greeted at the airport by our guide Camila, and we spent every excursion with her. Camila is one of the best guides we've ever had. Our excursions were well thought out, she was always available for us and her personality is amazing! She is very knowledgeable, so much fun and her giggles are contagious!Awasi welcomed us with a delicious cocktail & our fridge was always stocked with drinks. Incredible selection of wines included. Our bartenders, Lalo and Santiago created some amazing cocktails every day. The restaurant staff was very friendly - everyone has such a lovely and positive attitude that it was such a pleasant experience each day!Activities: we spent every day doing something fun or spectacular. We went kayaking and took a boat to Yasi falls ( amazing!). We spent one afternoon learning about the Guarani people - it was a nice leisurely walk through the jungle area led by a knowledged guide. But our most memorable excursion was definitely Iguazu Falls ( Brazilian side)! Absolutely breathtaking! Probably one of the most amazing experience we've ever been part of!We absolutely enjoyed it and cannot wait to experience the other Awasi resorts!

There are a lot of five star hotels in the world, but Awasi is on another level. It’s expensive for sure, but you get what you pay for — an all-inclusive, fully personalised experience, including delicious food and drinks at any time of day, a private guide and activities exclusive to hotel guests. Michael was an amazing guide, and made sure we were the very first people in the day to arrive at the Devil’s Throat! Then there was another day when I was sick, and the hotel called a doctor all the way from town to my room, free of charge. All the staff, in fact, were very friendly and attentive.Incredible. I would 12/10 recommend them to anyone who wants a unique luxury hotel experience. 🙂

OMG THIS PLACE!!! 😻😻😻 it's a gorgeous resort with 14 individual villas in the middle of the jungle. Completely private, I recommend staying a minimum of 3 nights in order to fully appreciate the luxury and amenities. All inclusive resort with 5 star service, all meals/drinks/mini bar/one bag of free laundry service/excursions included with the room rate. You will have a guide and private car to do as you please! Each villa has a private pool as well. This place is a precious gem that is totally undiscovered! A++++

Rincón del Socorro | Iberá Wetlands

In 2001, Douglas Tompkins, a philanthropist and conservationist, acquired the farm Rincón del Socorro to create a 74,131- acre natural reserve that would be handled by his foundation, The Conservation Land Trust (CLT). Acquiring Rincón del Socorro and other fields in Iberá had a simple but ambitious aim: to create the greatest natural park in Argentina, return the locally extinct fauna and foster an economy based on ecotourism.

Tompkins and his team restored and expanded the old buildings of the farm, removed the cattle from the fields, eliminated hundreds of miles of fences and initiated the biggest process of reintroduction of locally extinct fauna (REWILDING) in the Americas. Giant anteaters, pampas deer and peccaries have already been released. Part of this process concluded with the donation of lands for the creation of the Iberá National Park which, together with the provincial reserve, constitutes the great Park Iberá.

The Lodge Rincón del Socorro was built out of a farm originally constructed in 1896, which was personally restored and expanded by Douglas Tompkins. The buildings keep the classic European style, with big galleries that make the houses cooler during summertime. A fireplace located on the main room will keep you warm on cold days and during hot days you will be able to enjoy the swimming pool while you hear budgerigars singing.

The Lodge has 11 rooms and offers full board services as well as diverse recreational activities. In addition, you will have the opportunity to taste the typical Argentinian barbecue.

Rincón del Socorro, located in the heart of the majestic Iberá Wetlands, is undoubtedly the best destination to discover this unique region of Argentina. This eco-lodge combines rustic luxury and privacy in its facilities, along with first-class service. Every aspect of the experience is tailored to the visitors: activities, such as walks through the grasslands and jungle, horseback riding, and boat rides through the Iberá lagoon, are adapted according to your interests and level of adventure. In addition, between morning and afternoon activities, a relaxing break in the pool is offered. What makes Rincón del Socorro truly special is its commitment to wildlife. The ranch is at the heart of the "rewilding" effort, and you will be able to see animals in total freedom such as alligators, capybaras, rheas, swamp deer and more. The naturalist guides are experts and provide personalized attention, guaranteeing an intimate experience with nature. Mingo, Mauricio, Agustin and Marina guided us. Around the ranch, day and night, and in the park's large lagoon by boat. Thank you!! In addition, the all-inclusive service guarantees delicious meals based on fresh products from the local garden.I invite you to see the photos that the guests upload, where you can appreciate both the facilities and the impressive fauna that inhabits this natural reserve and the ease and richness of the sightings. If you are a lover of ecotourism and personalized adventures, Rincón del Socorro is an experience that you cannot miss.

A wonderful place to go with the family, a unique and unforgettable experience. The truth exceeded our expectations. The staff, both the guides and the waiters, especially Federico, are all very pleasant and warm. I would only change some meals since I didn't think it was enough, emphasizing that it was exquisite and homemade. We saw a variety of animals such as capybaras, rheas, peccaries, etc. We were able to appreciate the swamp deer, which we found to be a charming animal, as well as the pampas deer. Its location was what we were looking for. Highly recommended.

The place is excellent not only because of the natural environment but because of the staff that works there, it is difficult to mention everyone but the ones we were with the most were very friendly and complete in knowledge: Berenice and Inés at the reception. Mauricio, Marina and Margarita as outstanding guides. The waiters Joel and Gabriel. The experience is very good if you love animals. The facilities are very good, the pool is pleasant and the food is very rich and varied. I recommend it and would return. If you go by plane I recommend flying to Corrientes and not to Posadas so that the trip is shorter.

I can't really say anything wrong about this place although it can be a pain to get to, we went for the plane instead of a 8 hour journey. Other than that the location is lovely plenty of wildlife and picture opportunities. The staff are very informative and knowledge and were able to answer all our questions about the wet lands as well as being very friendly. The kitchen staff also catered to me being vegaterian so that was no problem and our waitress was very lovely. The rooms are very spacious are contain nice wooden furniture to give it the rustic effect and the grounds where we stayed are lush and full of greenery. You shouldn't be boarded for long as they plan two activities for you one in the morning and afternoon which take up most of the day. Overall it was a very pleasant and lovely experience and would highly recommend due to its warm and homely nature or the staff and the fact that there where only about 15 other people. Definitely worth the price and you won't experience this anywhere else.

Estancia Rincón Chico | Valdes Peninsula

Rincón Chico stands out as the only property in the area where the proper owners of the estancia are the hosts and where all the services offered are exclusively for the people who stay at the ranch so that our guests are the only ones who have access to them; in this way, we guarantee a personalized service, of high quality and for very few people. It has 8 comfortable rooms with a private bathroom with a bathtub in each. The lodge’s respect for the land and commitment to the environment is central to the guest experience. It was constructed following the style of the old English houses imported in the late 19th century and so common to find in the traditional Patagonian ranches, with a surrounding gallery.

Full board is included in the stay. The daily menus are a combination of family recipes along with typical Patagonian dishes which are homemade and created with organic ingredients and served in the dining room.

This remote area of Argentina is absolutely gorgeous, undeveloped and is a rare piece of earth. The Ranch was beautiful, peaceful and nostalgic! We were welcomed as valued guests by the host family. Meals were so good, and the home and everything about it was comfortable and peaceful. The wildlife and pristine land we experienced at Estancia Rincon Chico and around the Peninusla Valdez rivaled our African safaris in the best way! We would go back in a heartbeat!

Our time at Rincon Chico was completely incredible in every way! The hosts and their Estancia are an extraordinary example of preservation and the beauty and necessity of re-wilding the natural world! We saw so much than we ever imagined wildlife-wise! Orcas, whales, elephant seals, sea lions, guanacos, rheas, skunks, owls, armadillos, a couple sheep here and there 🙂 Agustin's enthusiasm for his surroundings is completely infectious! He's as excited as you are each day! Maria's sweet sweet nature makes you feel at home immediately and her scrumptious meals are exactly what you need after a blustery adventure! Jimena is a treasure and we were lucky that she was able to join us on a few of our day excursions! We left with such heavy hearts but will return home feeling impassioned about our natural world and the importance in protecting it. The level of care both for us and their environment was just amazing and we will never ever forget it. This was one of the best experiences we've ever had!!!!!

Rincon Chico is a reminder that we are not alone on this planet in the slightest! The abundance of wildlife is staggering, both in the ocean, on the beach and in the grass lands and plateaus. The scenery and geography are dramatic to the point that you feel like you are roaming the set of an epic nature documentary. Every day is like being in an episode of National Geographic. Our hosts and owners of the property, Agustin, Maria and Jemima are equally responsible for the magic of the place as the flora and fauna that surrounds them. They're truly passionate about nature and the conservation of this incredible landscape. They also incredible hosts to their human guests and go above and beyond to maximize everyone's experience. The home cooked food is delicious and the accommodations are spacious and clean. It's heaven for nature lovers.Orcas, sea lions, elephant seals, Southern Wright Whales, penguins, Guanacos, Foxes, Owls, seabirds, Choikes all roam, hunt, mate and live in the immediate vicinity of the ranch. We've never been somewhere that felt so authentic and bursting with wildlife. We're honored to have been witness to it and will certainly be back as soon as we can manage!

Rincon Chico is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife. As a biologist this trip felt like a dream. I stayed at Rincon Chico for four nights with my parents. We were greeted by Agustín, María, and Jemima, who made us feel very welcome. We went looking for orcas with Agustin and Jemima every day. The coast was teeming with sea birds, elephant seals, and sea lions. Although Rincón Chico is probably best known for its marine fauna, we also enjoyed watching the grassland birds, guanacos and maras, while admiring the unique plants. We noticed that the wildlife felt calm and that our presence did not disturb them, which was very important to us. The hotel is beautiful and Maria's food is delicious. The tranquillity of the place, the warmth and knowledge of our hosts, and knowing the conservation work being carried out here made it a very special and unique experience. I fell in love with elephant seals, this year's pups slept all day on the beaches and you could hear them sneeze every so often. The beach was full of fossils and you could see layers in the cliffs going back millions of years.
Wow... where to begin. I have been a lover of marine life since I was little, so I had very high expectations for this trip, and Rincon Chico exceeded them all! Agustin, Maria, and Jemimah were the most gracious hosts, and their love and compassion for the peninsula and it's wildlife really shows. During our 5 days there we saw orcas pestering a southern right whale, got up close and personal with elephant seals, and saw a seagull eating the placenta of a newborn seal lion. Each morning we would set out early to spot orcas and follow them as they made their way up and down the coast hunting seals. We saw numerous Southern Right Whales, and spent an afternoon watching a massive colony of penguins waddle along the beach and look after their eggs. Agustin taught us about the unique cultures of all of the different species we saw and even taught us how to differentiate the difference between the spout of a whale and the spout of an orca. Peninsula Verdes is one of the last untouched and truly wild places left on Earth and the work that Agustin, Maria, and Jemimah are doing to help conserve it is inspiring.
